From the desk of the President...

Dear Supporters,

We are pleased to announce that San Khau Viet Cali Performing Arts Group (SKV Cali) is now approved for a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to SKV Cali are tax deductible to the extent of the current applicable tax laws.

SKV Cali's purpose is to develop and cultivate a unique style of Vietnamese American Performing Arts in the Bay Area. Founded by Director Van Pham Mai in 1997, SKV Cali has created several Vietnamese/English bilingual plays and performed them in Silicon Valley. SKV Cali's plays depict the daily challenges of Vietnamese American immigrants trying to deal with the issues of generation gap and changing cultural values. Through its plays, SKV Cali offers to its audience a chance for self-assessment and self-realization of the cultural challenges that are faced by many immigrants.

SKV Cali operates based on the grants and donations of local organizations, businesses and individuals. The cast and crew of SKV Cali are volunteers from local professionals who strongly believe in educating the community about issues on cultural differences that exist within the community. Without the support from these resources, SKV Cali would not have made it this far. SKV Cali welcomes any kind of support (volunteering, monetary donations, purchase of show tickets, etc.) to keep the production going to help educate the community on different cultural values and obstacles immigrants face as they assimilate to the American culture.

Thank you for your on-going support, encouragement, and donations to SKV Cali. With the 501(c)(3) new status, we look forward to your continued support in the future.  Together we can make difference to our daily life.

Sincerely,

Van Pham Mai, President/Artistic Director

and the cast and crew of San Khau Viet Cali Performing Arts Group.
